A baseball outfielder with something of a dead-end life/love life, Learns he has only so many months to live. So he goes to a pub as usual, and gets drunk. He then awakens the next day, in a motel room the bartender has rented. It becomes apparent that she has been in love with him for some time, always quietly watching from a distance. Her care wins over his heart without his conscience knowledge, since he has never been truly in love before. But what to do with such a short time left?
